In less than two weeks from now, Fireboy’s third studio album will hit the stores.
The YBNL Nation singer will join the list of top artists who have dropped albums this year on the 5th of August. What this means is that Fireboy would’ve essentially released three albums in three years.
The Next Rated 2019 nominee became a sensation in 2018 as part of Olamide’s YBNL Mafia Family mixtape. That was when he made his hit, “Jealous.” He didn’t really blow up until 2019 when his debut was released, though.
After “LTG,” the album, Fireboy established himself as one of the most exciting talents of this generation. Then less than a year later, he released “Apollo.”
The sophomore was an unconventional one for the singer and it had Fireboy experimenting with pop sounds more. It was a success commercially, but it received mixed reviews from critics.

The point here is, that it took Fireboy less than two years to make his first two albums. But now he’s taken almost two years to make his third. He’s had so much time and with hits like “Peru” and “Playboy,” his rollout is insane. This could be his best album ever.
It’s probably not a mistake that he happens to drop this around the same time as Omah Lay and Burna Boy, who a few weeks ago dropped one week after the other.
Fireboy just might have to compete with the two PH boys for attention this summer.
The question is
Will Fireboy Be Able To Drop A Better Album Than Omah Lay And Burna Boy?
Let’s hear from you.
